Ready to connect with the best in broadcast and digital media? BIA is looking for an enthusiastic individual who is passionate about media and its future to take on the Senior Director of Local Media Forecasting role.

In this role, you'll harness BIA's proprietary data to predict advertising spending across traditional and digital channels, helping clients spot growth opportunities and boost revenue. Join us and make a significant impact in the media landscape!

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead in developing detailed local media advertising forecast models that accurately represent spending across media channels like television, digital, radio, direct mail, out-of-home, and by business sector, using BIA’s foundational forecasting procedures
  • Able to build quantitative forecast models and work with large datasets 
  • Evaluate historical spending patterns, market conditions, and economic indicators to generate precise predictions and forecast trends in industry-wide advertising expenditures.
  • Manage the development of detailed quarterly and annual forecast reports that provide actionable insights.
  • Prepare strategic business insights and analysis to present to BIA clients and C-suite executives 
  • Participate in industry conferences and communicate with the press to reference and share BIA data and insights.

Technical Oversight:

  • Identify new data sources and methodologies to enhance BIA’s forecasting frameworks continuously 
  • Maintain best practices for data collection, analysis, and reporting
  • Ensure accuracy and reliability of all forecasting outputs

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field
  • 5+ years of Experience in broadcast and/or digital media (note: this is not a public communications or PR position)
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and modeling tools and manipulating large data sets
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with data visualization tools

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with media mix modeling or marketing mix modeling
  • Knowledge of key advertising platforms 
  • Familiarity with Nielsen, Comscore, or similar media measurement tools
  • Background in advertising, media planning, or marketing analytics
  • Familiarity with new and emerging AI tools
