Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A Special Education Teacher position is available at an elementary school in Longmont, CO, serving grades K-3 in a center-based classroom setting. This contract role runs from ASAP through Friday, May 29th, 2026, and focuses on providing education to students with moderate to severe needs within a small caseload of five.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored instruction within a special education framework to support student learning and development.
  • Collaborate with two dedicated paraprofessionals who assist in classroom management and student support.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with state guidelines.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods to meet individual needs.
  • Work within school policies and maintain clear communication with parents and staff.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) licensure for Special Education.
  • Experience teaching students with moderate to severe disabilities in a K-3 environment.
  • Ability to manage a small caseload with personalized attention.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with paraprofessionals and school personnel.
  • Commitment to student-centered education and inclusive practices.
