Were hiring Math Instructors for the 20252026 school year.
About the Role:
Were looking for bright, ambitious individuals with an enthusiastic and outgoing personality, strong interpersonal skills, and a solid understanding of math concepts. As a Mathnasium Instructor, youll work in a supportive team environment and receive comprehensive training on our proprietary Mathnasium Method. Youll deliver engaging and effective math instruction to students of all ages in a small-group setting.
Youll help foster a positive learning experience, interact with students and parents to build confidence and demonstrate the value of the program, and support student progress tracking in collaboration with the Center Director and fellow team members.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of arithmetic and algebra
- Excellent work ethic
- Willingness to learn
- Within one year of earning your high school diploma
- Available to work at least 3 weekdays (4 preferred)
- Must be available to work for a minimum of six months
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience working with children as a tutor, teacher, or instructor
- Pursuing a degree in education, math, science, or a related field
- Ability to teach up to Algebra 1 (Geometry is a plus)
- Strong classroom or group management skills
- Ability to build rapport with students and parents
- Clear communication skills with students, families, and team members
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Leadership experience is a plus

Center Hours (Fall Schedule):
Monday: 2:15 pm to 7:00 pm
Session 1: 2:15 pm - 3:15 pm
Session 2: 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm
Session 3: 4:45 pm - 5:45 pm
Session 4: 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Tuesday to Friday: 3:30 pm to 7:00 pm
Session 1: 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm
Session 2: 4:45 pm - 5:45 pm
Session 3: 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Saturday: 10:00 am 1:30 pm
Session 1: 10:00 am - 11:00 am
Session 2: 11:15 am - 12:15 pm
Session 3: 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm
This is an in-person, part-time position based in Pasadena, CA, with instructors typically working 1220 hours per week. We aim to schedule as many shifts as you are available for.
