Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support high school students in New Castle, DE. This role involves working with diverse learners to provide tailored educational plans that acmodate individual disabilities and help students achieve their academic and social goals. The position is a contract role spanning the current school year (CSY).

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in pliance with special education laws and guidelines.
• Adapt general education curriculum to meet the diverse needs of students with disabilities.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, school staff, and families to ensure an inclusive learning environment.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
• Maintain detailed records of student performance and behaviors.
• Participate in professional development and special education meetings.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification.
• Experience working with high school students in a special education setting.
• Knowledge of IEP development and implementation.
• Strong munication and collaboration skills.
