A K-12 school in Elk Grove, CA, is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist for a contract position starting March 16, 2026, and concluding June 5, 2026. This role offers a hybrid work schedule with three days on-site and two days remote, providing a balanced approach to in-person collaboration and remote flexibility. The position requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, supporting students from preschool through 12th grade across two school sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for students to identify learning, behavioral, and emotional needs
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to develop individualized education programs (IEPs) and intervention plans
- Provide counseling and support services to students to enhance their academic and social-emotional development
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute expert recommendations to promote student success
- Monitor and document student progress and adjust interventions accordingly
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations related to special education and student services
Qualifications:
- Valid credential or license as a School Psychologist
- Experience working within K-12 educational settings
- Strong background in conducting assessments and providing counseling for diverse student populations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, families, and school staff
- Ability to manage multiple cases and maintain detailed records
- Proficiency in using educational and psychological assessment tools
