Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available for the upcoming school year at a middle school in Zionsville, IN. This contract role focuses on supporting students in a Life Skills classroom, providing tailored instruction to meet diverse learning needs and promote student growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Deliver differentiated instruction aligned with district curriculum standards in a Life Skills classroom setting
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including parents, counselors, and support staff to foster student development
- Monitor student progress regularly and adjust teaching methods to address evolving needs
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with educational regulations
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification appropriate for the grade level
- Experience working with middle school students, especially in Life Skills or similar special education classrooms
- Strong knowledge of instructional strategies for students with disabilities
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with diverse teams
- Ability to design and modify curricula to suit individual learning goals

Compensation:
- Pay starting at $35+ per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications
