This role involves providing psychological services across multiple school locations, requiring travel within the area to meet diverse student needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations to identify student learning and behavioral needs.
• Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and intervention plans.
• Provide counseling and crisis intervention to students as needed.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to data-driven decision-making.
• Monitor student progress and adjust strategies to support academic and social-emotional development.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding special education services.

Qualifications:

• Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field.
• Valid state licensure or certification as a School Psychologist.
• Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and interpreting data.
• Strong knowledge of special education laws and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, parents, and school teams.
• Willingness and ability to travel between school sites within the local area.

Location: New Orleans, Louisiana with travel between schools in the region required.
