Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity seeks a skilled Intervention Specialist to support students in a K-12 school setting in Akron, OH. The position is a contract role for the current school year, running from ASAP through June 2, 2026. The role requires onsite availability and involves a 37.5-hour workweek. Specific caseload and age group assignments will be determined based on the districts needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and intervention services to students with diverse learning needs
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all applicable state and federal regulations related to special education
Qualifications:
- Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist license required
- Experience working in special education settings preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to supporting students academic, social, and emotional growth
