Job DescriptionWe are seeking an energetic and experienced Part-Time Instructor to join our team! We provide an After School STEM Enrichment program using LEGO bricks throughout -Lake, Porter and LaPorte counties in NW Indiana primarily Highland - Griffith. As a Part-Time Instructor, you will lead a class of elementary students (K-8), through the teaching of our proprietary comprehensive STEM educational curriculum. Your goal is to create a welcoming, fun learning environment and to provide students with the tools they need to reach their full potential. The ideal candidate is compassionate, creative, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, independent, reliable and have a passion for teaching K-8 students! This is not an entry level teaching position as classroom management experience is essential for success.

Responsibilities:
- Implement our proprietary curriculum that meets school standards
- Encourage the development of students critical thinking skills
- Prepare in advance by building models and reviewing teaching materials
- Take attendance and account for all students' whereabouts
- Guide students through positive feedback
- Reliability and accountability of scheduled classes
- Attend staff meetings
- Report and document behavioral incidents
Qualifications:
- No teaching certification required
- Previous experience teaching at the k-12 level is preferred
- Understanding of child development principles, best practices in education and classroom management
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment
