Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A preschool special education teaching opportunity is available at an early childhood school in Vineland, NJ. This contract position covers the current school year (CSY) and offers one opening with an ASAP start date through June 12th. Substitute teachers with special education experience are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a preschool special education caseload primarily serving students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and sensory needs
- Provide instructional support and individualized education plans tailored to each students developmental level
- Implement classroom strategies for students who are non-verbal or require alternative communication methods
- Collaborate with support staff, families, and therapists to foster student growth and learning
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports for assigned students
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher
- Experience working with preschool-aged students, preferably with ASD and sensory processing challenges
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs, including non-verbal learners
- Open availability for substitute teaching positions is a plus
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
