Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Licensed Counselors for a full-time, on-site role with a school district near the Independence, MO area. This position is ideal for a compassionate and motivated professional dedicated to fostering students academic success, emotional well-being, and personal growth.

Position Details:

  • Start Date: ASAP

  • Schedule: Monday through Friday

  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Full-Time)

  • Location: Onsite at assigned school locations

  • Pay Rate: $48/hr

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide academic advising, career exploration, and post-secondary planning for students.

  • Deliver individual and group counseling to address emotional, behavioral, and social challenges.

  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to promote student achievement and well-being.

  • Create and implement student success plans and intervention strategies.

  • Support students in developing coping skills, conflict resolution, and self-management techniques.

  • Respond to crises and provide short-term counseling and referrals to community resources.

  • Maintain confidential records and documentation in compliance with state and district regulations.

  • Advocate for equitable access to academic and emotional support services.

Requirements:

  • Active Missouri Professional Counselor License (LPC, LCPC, or equivalent) required

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in School Counseling, Psychology, or related field

  • Must meet Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) certification requirements

  • Previous school-based counseling experience preferred

  • Strong communication, empathy, and conflict-resolution skills

  • Must be able to pass all required background checks and clearances
