Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a licensed childcare center
  • Strong organizational skills
  • The ability to collaborate and build strong partnerships
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient computer and technology skills
  • Effective and efficient time management
  • First Aid/CPR training will be provided

Responsibilities:


Develop and maintain a safe and nurturing classroom environment

  • Implement Reggio Emilia philosophies and Project Approach
  • Utilize curricular resources

Maintain regular parent/guardian communication

Follow all safety and health guidelines

Support organizational mission, philosophies, values, goals, and policies

Communicate with your colleagues through collaboration and curricular planning.

  • Employ developmentally appropriate classroom management techniques
  • Engage in respectful communication with students, families, and colleagues
  • Integrate technology to enhance learning within the classroom.
  • Document educational experiences and display children's work in a manner that highlights student learning
  • Demonstrate professionalism in conduct, appearance, and practice
  • Other duties as assigned

Physical Demands:


Ability to lift and carry children up to 50 pounds

Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation

  • Physical and mental health that does not interfere with child care responsibilities
