Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) is looking to hire a Deaf/ Hard of Hearing Teacher to join our staff and work in an amazing school! Deaf/ Hard of Hearing Teacher Qualifications:

Must hold or be eligible for a Delaware Initial, Continuing, or Advanced Teaching License.

Must obtain the Standard Certificate: Teacher of Students Who Are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
Deaf/ Hard of Hearing Teacher Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing across grade levels.
- Support development of language, communication, auditory skills, and academic content.
- Adapt curriculum and materials to meet individual communication and learning needs.
- Conduct assessments and contribute to eligibility determinations for hearing impairment under Delaware regulation 925
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals, including the required Communication Plan for DHH students
- Ensure students have access to appropriate communication modalities and accommodations.
- Maintain accurate records, progress monitoring, and required state documentation.
- Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, and multidisciplinary team discussions.
