An opportunity is available for an experienced Special Education Instructional Coach in the Eden Prairie, MN area, serving a K-12 school. This contract role spans from January 5, 2026, to June 5, 2026, with a weekly commitment of approximately 36.25 hours. The position primarily focuses on supporting special education teachers and staff in implementing due process protocols, ensuring full compliance with special education laws, timelines, and documentation for students with disabilities.
The successful candidate will serve as a Specialized Instructional Coach, lending expertise in special education, intervention strategies, and Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS). This role involves working within one building to assist educators in navigating legal requirements, managing necessary paperwork, and adhering to required timelines for students with special needs. Applicants must hold Tier 3 or Tier 4 licenses to qualify for this position.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing targeted coaching and support to special education teachers and intervention staff
Ensuring district compliance with due process regulations related to special education
Monitoring and tracking legal documentation, rights, and timelines to maintain adherence to state and federal laws
Collaborating with school administrators and special education teams to improve instructional practices and student outcomes
Preferred qualifications and experience:
Valid Tier 3 or Tier 4 special education licensure in Minnesota
Demonstrated knowledge of special education laws, procedures, and legal compliance
Experience supporting educators in intervention and MTSS frameworks
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
