Job Summary

This position is responsible for conducting training needs assessments, developing training programs, managing training budget, creating training materials, training managers and supervisors, organizing training events, evaluating training effectiveness, collaborating with HR staff, and working on conflict resolution, all in alignment with CCEW core values and strategic priorities. Developing and implementing supervisor and new leader training programs, monitoring training completion and efficacy, ensuring confidentiality of client information, and adhering to agency policies and CCEW values.



Job Duties/Responsibilities

  1. Conducts and provides a written report annually on agency training and development needs assessment.
  2. Develops training and development programs and objectives.
  3. Administers spending against the departmental budget.
  4. Obtains and/or develops effective training materials utilizing a variety of media and in-person models.
  5. Trains managers, supervisors, and others involved in employee development efforts.
  6. Plans, organizes, facilitates and orders supplies for employee development and training events.
  7. Develops and maintains organizational communications such as intranet bulletin boards and newsletters to ensure employees have knowledge of training and development events and resources.
  8. Conducts follow up studies of all completed training to evaluate and measure results.
  9. Works effectively as a team member with other members of management and the HR staff.
  10. Develops, implements, performs, and manages staff training programs across varied disciplines and topics, and facilitates regular/reoccurring workshops for staff.
  11. Conducts regular evaluation and assessment of training programs and recommends revisions, improvements, and updates to the VP of HR.
  12. Works collaboratively with the VP of HR to identify, plan, execute, document, and recommend follow up trainings consequent to employee misconduct, policy violations, staff disciplinary and termination situations.
  13. Assists program leaders as needed by functioning as a mediator and consultant to staff when staff/staff or staff/supervisor conflict arises. Conducts coaching and discussion sessions as needed to achieve conflict resolution and provide training where staff conflict is becoming normative.
  14. Develops, performs, and implements supervisor and new leader training programs to include topics inclusive of risk mitigation practices and techniques for preventing staff conflict.
  15. Works directly with program leaders to create/modify staff training and development program objectives, which include employee development, to suit the specialized needs and work environments within respective programs.
  16. Develops and maintains the CCEW training and development resource library ensuring all resources are accessible to staff within the agency.
  17. Monitors and reports to the Director and VP of HR on agency training completion and efficacy.
  18. Exemplify the culture and core values of CCEW through professional activities and demeanor.
  19. Uses appropriate administrative, fiscal, physical, and technical safeguards to ensure theconfidentiality,integrity, and security of CCEW client protected health information (PHI), per regulations outlined in the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).
  20. Will regularly utilize all forms of communication (email, text, phone, etc.) and database practices necessary for this position and as directed by supervisor.
  21. As a mandated reporter, follows all procedures outlined in agency policies and procedures to report to the proper agency when there is suspicion and/or confirmation that a child or adult has been a victim of abuse or neglect.
  22. Adheres to the tenets of Catholic Social Teaching and Catholic Doctrine.
  23. Performs related functions necessary to support the mission and core values of Catholic Charities.



Job Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must meet the minimum qualifications listed below. These qualifications are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform this job.

Education/Experience: to perform this job successfully, an individual must have a bachelors degree in human resources management, or a related field and a minimum of 3-5 years relative experience. Experience working with diverse populations is preferred.

Certificates/Licenses: Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) credential preferred. SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential preferred. Individuals must also have a valid Drivers License or otherwise demonstrate the ability to get to and from multiple work locations as required. Must be able to successfully pass background check applicable to position.

While performing the essential duties/responsibilities of this job, the employee will be:
