Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time School Psychologist opportunity is available for the current school year at a K-12 school located in Kansas City, KS. This contract position requires an in-person professional who can manage a caseload of diverse students, including those with intense disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for students with significant disabilities, including those who are nonverbal, physically impaired, or utilize augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices.
- Provide data-driven evaluations and recommendations to support individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to promote students' educational, social, and emotional development.
- Participate in IEP meetings and communicate assessment results clearly and effectively to stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school policies and state regulations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Active Kansas state licensure as a School Psychologist is required.
- Experience working with students with intense disabilities and specialized communication needs.
- Proficiency in administering and interpreting standardized psychological tests.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work full-time (37.5 hours per week) in an in-person setting.
