Position: Middle School Math Teacher (Grades 5-8) – 1099 Contractor
Rate: $50 – $55/hr
Location: Cleveland, OH

What You’ll Do

• Deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate math lessons tailored to students’ needs.

• Cultivate a classroom culture rooted in high expectations and college readiness.

• Collaborate with faculty and leadership to analyze student data and refine instructional strategies.

• Share best teaching practices and learn from peers.

• Maintain open, positive communication with students’ families through regular updates and conferences.

• Create a safe, organized, and inspiring classroom environment.

• Foster respectful, supportive relationships with students daily.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree is required.

• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience preferred, especially in urban settings.

• Valid Ohio teaching license, Substitute License, or actively pursuing licensure.

• Deep passion for urban education and commitment to our mission.

• Expertise in your content area and grade level.

• Strong data-driven instructional skills.

• Professionalism, openness to feedback, and a growth mindset.

• Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Sheets.

• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and contribute positively to a team.
