Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Located in Hayward, CA, this part-time (0.6 FTE) contract position offers the opportunity to provide essential psychological services within a K-12 school setting. The role involves conducting psycho-educational assessments for referred students and delivering consultative support to promote student learning and development. Short-term counseling services will be provided to special education students as determined by IEP teams, and to general education students when appropriate.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations under the guidance of the Assistant Superintendent of Student Services
- Offering consultative services and psychological techniques to support students and staff
- Providing short-term counseling services as designated
- Adapting to changes in caseloads and student needs, maintaining flexibility in service delivery
- Serving a single-site location with an onsite work requirement
Qualifications and experience sought:
- Active California State licensure as a School Psychologist
- Masters degree in educational or clinical psychology, including at least one year of supervised internship as part of credentialing
- Ability to work onsite and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Open to new graduates ready to start late February to cover maternity leave
