We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher with a strong background in mathematics or a willingness to obtain certification in this area. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with diverse learning needs and be committed to creating an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique learning requirements.
- Utilize innovative teaching strategies to engage students in mathematics and adapt lessons to accommodate different learning styles.
- Collaborate with special education staff, general education teachers, and parents to foster a team approach to student success.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction as necessary to ensure academic growth.
- Provide a safe, nurturing, and structured environment that encourages student participation and confidence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong understanding of mathematical concepts and effective teaching methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
