A K-12 school in Kent, OH seeks a licensed Special Education Teacher with an Ohio Intervention Specialist certification for an onsite contract position. The role focuses on delivering specialized instruction and support for students with diverse learning needs. Employment is scheduled from ASAP through June 2, 2026, with a weekly commitment of 37.5 hours. Caseload and specific age groups will be determined.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and support staff to enhance student progress
- Monitor and document student performance and behavior
- Provide intervention strategies and support in alignment with best practices for special education
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist license
- Experience working with K-12 students in special education settings preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage and adapt to varied caseloads and student needs
