Master’s degree in School Counseling, Counseling or a related field, active School Counselor license and 1+ years School Counselor experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A rewarding opportunity is available for an experienced school counselor to support young learners in an elementary school setting located in Arlington, TX. This full-time, onsite contract position runs from ASAP through May 29, 2026, focusing on kindergarten through second grade students. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling services to K-2 students, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to develop intervention strategies that promote student well-being and academic success.
  • Support crisis intervention and conflict resolution as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school policies and regulations.
  • Participate in student support team meetings and contribute to the development of individualized learning plans.

Qualifications:

  • Valid certification or licensure as a school counselor.
  • Experience working with elementary-aged children, preferably in kindergarten through second grade.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, families, and staff.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and ethical counseling practices.

Work Schedule and Location:

  • Monday through Friday, with options from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
  • Full-time, 40 hours per week, onsite in Arlington, TX.
