Minimum 1+ years Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Located in Wilmington, DE, this contract paraprofessional position supports elementary students at Mt. Pleasant Elementary School from January 5, 2026, through June 11, 2026. This role offers a full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., totaling 37.5 hours per week. Candidates will work within the Brandywine School District and serve an essential role assisting with behavioral support and intervention.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide paraprofessional support to elementary students, implementing Behavior Support Plans (BSP) and Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) interventions as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, BCBAs, and other school staff to support individualized student goals
- Maintain documentation and data collection in compliance with behavioral plans
- Participate in ongoing supervision, with agency-provided BCBA oversight available virtually
- Adhere to district policies and procedures while supporting a positive learning environment
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience working as a paraprofessional in an elementary school setting preferred
- Certification or training relevant to BSP or RBT preferred; please attach certificates with application if applicable
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Candidates must agree to complete fingerprint-based criminal background check ($85 fee applies)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Additional Information:
- Candidates must secure their own BCBA supervisor if hired as an RBT; supervision fees are deducted from pay margin
- References are required for paraprofessional roles
