Located in Wilmington, DE, this contract paraprofessional position supports elementary students at Mt. Pleasant Elementary School from January 5, 2026, through June 11, 2026. This role offers a full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., totaling 37.5 hours per week. Candidates will work within the Brandywine School District and serve an essential role assisting with behavioral support and intervention.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide paraprofessional support to elementary students, implementing Behavior Support Plans (BSP) and Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) interventions as needed
  • Collaborate with teachers, BCBAs, and other school staff to support individualized student goals
  • Maintain documentation and data collection in compliance with behavioral plans
  • Participate in ongoing supervision, with agency-provided BCBA oversight available virtually
  • Adhere to district policies and procedures while supporting a positive learning environment

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience working as a paraprofessional in an elementary school setting preferred
  • Certification or training relevant to BSP or RBT preferred; please attach certificates with application if applicable
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Candidates must agree to complete fingerprint-based criminal background check ($85 fee applies)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Additional Information:

  • Candidates must secure their own BCBA supervisor if hired as an RBT; supervision fees are deducted from pay margin
  • References are required for paraprofessional roles
  • This position offers valuable hands-on experience in behavioral interventions within a school environment
