Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available at a high school located in Manassas, VA. This contract role spans the entire school year, providing an excellent opportunity to support students with diverse learning needs across grades K-12.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the needs of students with disabilities in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, behavior, and performance.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the varied abilities and learning styles of students.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development activities.
Qualifications:
- Valid Virginia Special Education Teacher license.
- Experience working with K-12 students in a special education setting.
- Strong understanding of special education laws, including IDEA.
- Ability to manage diverse caseloads and develop individualized supports.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
