Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A contract position is available for a Special Education Teacher supporting middle school students in Anoka, MN. This role focuses on delivering individualized instruction and accommodations for students with special needs, ensuring compliance with educational plans and fostering academic and social growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to students' needs
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and families to support student progress
- Monitor and document student performance and behavior
- Adapt instructional strategies to meet diverse learning styles
- Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience working with middle school-aged students in a special education setting
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and compliance
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to create engaging, differentiated lessons centered on student needs
