Thinc Forward is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Financial Controller to join our dynamic team. This position, which operates on a hybrid basis (3 days in the office, 2 days from home) in West Chester, PA, will oversee all financial activities and implement effective financial strategies to ensure organizational success. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, equipped with extensive experience in financial management, risk assessment, and team leadership. You will play a pivotal role in setting financial goals, analyzing financial performance, and guiding the company through important financial decisions.
Hours:
Salary position with a schedule of 8:30 am – 5:00 pm EST, Monday through Friday, with occasional extended hours as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the finance department, providing direction and support to ensure high standards of financial accuracy and integrity.
- Develop and implement financial strategies, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash management that align with the company's goals.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to the executive team, highlighting key performance indicators and trends.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards and monitor financial performance to identify areas of improvement.
- Oversee the accuracy of financial records, including the General Ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial controls.
- Coordinate and manage the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors and ensuring timely completion.
- Provide insights and recommendations to the executive team based on financial analysis, including expense management and revenue optimization.
- Manage cash flow forecasting and optimization, ensuring sufficient liquidity for the company’s operations.
- Play an active role in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), working closely with departmental leaders to support their financial needs.
- Continuously evaluate financial processes and systems for efficiency improvements and implement best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in financial management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Proficient in ERP systems and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel; experience with QuickBooks and other financial software is a plus.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in an understandable manner.
