Position Overview
Pannex Therapeutics is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Scientist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in advancing our drug discovery efforts targeting Panx1 channels. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of first-in-class therapies in a collaborative and innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities

Drug Discovery & Development: Lead and contribute to the design, synthesis, and optimization of small-molecule inhibitors targeting Panx1 channels.

Preclinical Studies: Plan and execute in vitro and in vivo experiments to evaluate the efficacy and safety of lead compounds.

Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including medicinal chemistry, pharmacology, and toxicology, to advance drug candidates through the development pipeline.

Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze experimental data, prepare detailed reports, and present findings to internal stakeholders and external collaborators.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all research activities comply with relevant regulatory guidelines and company policies.
Qualifications

Education: Ph.D. in Pharmacology, Medicinal Chemistry, Neuroscience, or a related field.

Experience: At least 2 years of postdoctoral or industry experience in drug discovery and development.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in molecular biology techniques, cell-based assays, and animal models.

Knowledge: Strong understanding of ion channel pharmacology, with a focus on Panx1 channels being highly desirable.

Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly and effectively.
