Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract position is for a Special Education Teacher serving students in grades K-12 at a school located in New York, NY. The role involves supporting self-contained, resource, and special day classrooms, providing tailored instruction to meet diverse learning needs.

Qualifications:

• Active State Teaching License in Special Education
• Experience working with K-12 students preferred
• Ability to manage self-contained and resource classroom environments effectively

Job Details:

• Start Date: Immediate
• End Date: End of School Year
• Compensation: $37-41+/hour, commensurate with experience
• Hours: 30-37.5 hours per week
• Days: 5 days per week
• Age Group Served: Kindergarten through 12th Grade

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
• Collaborate with staff and families to support student progress
• Adapt lessons and materials to meet the needs of varying learning abilities
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and behavior
