Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This full-time special education teaching opportunity is ideal for a dedicated educator with a passion for supporting high school students. Located in West Chester, PA, this contract position offers a comprehensive role working onsite with a diverse caseload of high school students requiring specialized instructional support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students unique needs.
  • Deliver specialized instruction aligned with Pennsylvania state standards, focusing on academic and social development.
  • Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure inclusive learning environments and student success.
  • Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and adjust teaching methods as necessary.
  • Participate in professional development and team meetings to enhance instructional techniques and stay current with best practices in special education.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Pennsylvania Special Education Teaching Certification is required.
  • Experience working with high school students in special education is preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to engage students and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Location:
