Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available at a K-12 school located in Arvada, CO. This contract role lasts for the current school year and involves working onsite, delivering specialized support to students in special education classrooms.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing direct instructional services aligned with students Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Developing, updating, and managing IEPs according to scheduled timelines
- Handling case management duties as required, including taking over existing cases mid-year
- Collaborating with educational staff to promote student success within the special education setting
Qualifications and experience:
- Valid Special Education Certification for the state of Colorado
- SSP (Significant Support Professional) certification
- Proven ability to manage mid-year case transitions confidently
- Experience working effectively with K-12 students in special education environments
