Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
  • Adapt and differentiate curriculum to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure a cohesive learning experience.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with educational standards and regulations.
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development to enhance instructional skills.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification.
  • Experience working with middle school-aged students.
  • Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Ability to create an inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a commitment to student success.

Location:

  • Situated in the Hopkins area of Minnesota, the role is based in a supportive middle school setting.

Employment Details:

  • Contract position for the current school year (CSY).
