Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school psychologist position is available to support students across grade levels K-12 in an educational setting. This role offers a contract opportunity in Newport, RI, with consideration for candidates interested in part-time work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for students in grades K-5, 6-8, and 9-12
- Collaborate with educators, families, and administrators to develop and implement individualized student support plans
- Provide counseling and intervention services to address behavioral and emotional needs
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of positive school climates
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to confidentiality standards
Qualifications:
- Valid certification or licensure as a school psychologist
- Experience working with diverse student populations across multiple grade levels
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to conduct assessments and interpret results effectively
