Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm
Location: Amherst
Position Summary: To serve as a research analyst involved in initiating organizing, analyzing, reporting results in regards to investigator initiated research. To coordinate study protocols and initiate new ideas for research as well as maintaining a database and facilitate statistical analysis.
Responsibilities of Position:
- Managing the research database on their designated topic
- Coordinating study protocols and implementing them within the database
- Writing and submitting investigator initiated protocols
- Statistical analysis background for data analysis by the means of
- Excel
- Access
- SYSTAT
- Writing and submitting abstracts and papers to be presented or published
- Presenting paper and research results
- Performs other duties assigned by Principal Investigator and Supervising Certified Clinical Research Coordinator
- May have duties that fall under “Clinical Research Coordinator” job description on a per project basis

Skills & Experience Necessary:
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience in statistical analysis
- Experience in ACCESS and statistical packages such as SYSTAT or SPSS are a plus
- All personnel drawing blood must be credentialed by hospital phlebotomy; CPR certification preferred
- All personnel handling/packaging/shipping hazardous good must become IATA certified
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Must have a flexible schedule according to business need
Preferred Education and Experience
- College degree or technical training preferred
- Prior research or lab experience preferred but not required
Working Conditions:
- Moderate physical activity required at times which may include occasional movement of studies supplies or equipment, not in excess 25 pounds
- Occasional exposure to human body fluids/secretions

Travel
- Travel possible between Dent Neurologic Institute sites
Compensation:
- Most candidates will start within the first quartile of the pay range
- Rates are commensurate with experience
