Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A dynamic opportunity is available for a 5-7th Grade Special Education Teacher in Brookline, MA, to support middle school students in a full-time contract position running from January through April. This role focuses on delivering specialized instruction and interventions to meet the diverse developmental and academic needs of students with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each students unique needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to foster an inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly to maximize educational outcomes.
- Utilize data-driven strategies to support academic and social development.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Massachusetts Special Education (SPED) license or provisional license.
- Experience working with middle school-aged children, particularly within grades 5-7.
- Strong understanding of special education laws, individualized instruction, and behavioral management techniques.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to engage with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Location: Brookline, Massachusetts
