GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Development and implementation of a monthly activity calendar that includes programming to meet the physical, social, emotional, spiritual, vocational and intellectual needs of the residents.
  • Perform social assessments to learn resident interests, hobbies and past experiences.
  • Encourage residents to attend and participate in activities that are of interest to them.
  • Interact with residents making a special effort to engage them in activities and introduce them to others in the community with similar interests and backgrounds
  • Track the success and challenges of the scheduled activities.
  • Assists in planning special community events and decorating the community according to the season and/or holiday.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working with activities and/or older adults preferred
  • Computer and organizational skills required
  • Positive energy, creativity and passion for helping others
