Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An exciting opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher specializing in Preschool/Early Childhood Education within an elementary school setting. This full-semester contract position supports young learners in a personalized and collaborative environment dedicated to early intervention and special education services.

Location: Issaquah, WA
Position Type: Full Semester Contract
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM 1:00 PM (Wednesdays reserved for planning, IEP meetings, and trainings)
Hours per Week: 22.5
On-site: Yes

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering specialized instruction tailored to preschool and early childhood special education students
  • Participating in IEP development and implementation
  • Collaborating with educational teams, families, and related service providers
  • Utilizing assessment data to guide individualized learning plans
  • Engaging in ongoing professional development and trainings

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current Washington State teaching license in Special Education required
  • Experience working with preschool-aged children preferred; K-2 Elementary experience also considered
  • Strong knowledge of early childhood special education strategies and best practices
  • Ability to manage a flexible caseload in a newly established position
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
