Job Goal
Under the supervision of a school administrator, the teacher is responsible for delivering effective, high-quality, and rigorous instruction in various content areas. The goal is to ensure measurable academic growth and understanding for all students. Teachers are also responsible for observing, evaluating, and supporting student academic performance.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Education.

Must hold or be eligible for licensure and certification in the state of Delaware.

Demonstrated experience in delivering standards-based instruction across various content areas, including support for students with special needs.

Proficiency in using automated student information systems for grading, progress tracking, and class documentation.

Strong classroom management, instructional planning, and leadership skills, with the ability to use differentiated instruction and technology to engage students.

Ability to build positive relationships with students and parents to promote academic success and community engagement.

Proven track record of effective leadership, extracurricular involvement, reliable attendance, and high performance.
Essential Functions

Develop daily lesson plans and unit plans that align with curriculum standards, incorporate technology, and provide differentiated learning opportunities.

Prepare detailed substitute plans when absent and ensure alignment with state content standards.

Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment; keep accurate records of student academic and behavioral performance using automated systems.

Perform additional duties or special projects as assigned.
