The Goddard School of Hummelstown is seeking a motivated, caring, and dependable Part-Time Assistant Teacher to join our warm and welcoming team. This position is ideal for someone who loves working with young children and is looking for consistent afternoon hours in a nurturing, professional environment.
At our School, we put our teachers firstbecause they put our students first. Youll support our Lead Teachers in creating engaging experiences, maintaining a safe and joyful classroom, and ensuring a smooth transition during the closing hours of the day.
What Youll Do:
- Support the Lead Teacher with daily activities and routines in the classroom
- Engage children in meaningful play and learning experiences during the afternoon hours
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment
- Foster positive, nurturing relationships with children and families
- Ensure health, safety, and licensing standards are consistently met
- Contribute to a calm, happy end-of-day experience for children and families
What Were Looking For:
- A high school diploma required; an associate or bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education (or related field) is a plus
- Experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting preferred
- A warm, reliable, and team-oriented attitude
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed and meet all state background and health requirements
