Multiple Teaching Opportunities in General Education K-12 (East Orange, NJ)
This contract position offers a chance to contribute to a dynamic K-12 educational setting through the 2025-2026 school year, starting ASAP and continuing through June 2026. We are seeking experienced educators with the appropriate endorsements to teach a variety of specialized subjects aligned with Business, Family and Consumer Sciences, Marketing, Psychology, Food Technology, Fashion Design, Hospitality, Fire Science, and Law Enforcement.
Required Endorsements include one or more of the following areas:
- Comprehensive Business (1300)
- Family and Consumer Sciences: Comprehensive (1705)*
- Family and Consumer Sciences: Child and Family Development (1706)*
- Family and Consumer Sciences: Foods, Nutrition, and Food Science (1707)*
- Family and Consumer Sciences: Apparel, Textiles, and Interiors (1708)
- Marketing (2560)
- Psychology (2350)
- Food Processing and Technology (2513)
- Fashion Design (4195)
- Food Management/Marketing (4132)*
- Hospitality and Tourism Management (4133)*
- Fire Science (4155)
- Law Enforcement (4153)*
*Special endorsements denote specific content area expertise.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver general education instruction with an emphasis on your certified specialty area within grades K-12.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that address diverse learning needs and adhere to state standards.
- Foster a supportive and engaging classroom environment conducive to student success.
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in ongoing professional development.

- Substitute or emergency teaching certifications are not accepted.
- In-person interviews will be conducted as part of the selection process.
- Candidates should expect variable student behaviors and demonstrate strong classroom management skills.
