Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A contract position is available for a Special Education Teacher to work with middle school students. This role involves delivering tailored educational support to students with diverse learning needs, helping them achieve their academic and personal goals in an inclusive classroom setting.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Collaborating with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure effective acmodations and modifications
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting instructional strategies as needed
- Maintaining accurate records and plying with relevant legal and educational standards
- Creating a positive and supportive learning environment that fosters student growth and engagement
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience working with middle school students in a special education setting
- Strong understanding of laws and regulations related to special education
- Ability to design and deliver differentiated instruction and behavior management strategies
- Effective munication and collaboration skills
