Edenbrook Platteville, part of the Eden Senior Care Network, a skilled nursing facility is seeking for an Admissions and Marketing Director for our wonderful skilled nursing facility to make a difference in the lives of our residents.
Position: Admissions and Marketing Director
Job Summary
Primary Responsibility is to ensure that every referral is processed and reviewed in a timely manner and that every admission is accomplished by providing a smooth transition from the hospital, community or other setting. Serve as the communication conduit between and among departments on every referral and every admission. Assist in positioning the skilled nursing location as a leader in short-term rehabilitation and long-term care with the goal of contributing to build and grow census and quality resident mix. Accountable to the corresponding Administrator and Marketing Director.

Resident Rights
- Knows and respects residents’ rights.
- Ensures all protected health information is kept confidential.
- Reports all complaints made by residents to the supervisor
- Reports allegations of resident abuse, neglect and/or misappropriation of resident property.
Safety and Sanitation
- Follows established safety policies and procedures.
- Ensures potential safety/health hazards are eliminated.
- Wears and/or uses safety equipment and supplies when indicated and properly trained to use.
- Demonstrates job-specific knowledge of fire and disaster preparedness during drills or actual situations.
- Reports allegations of patient abuse, neglect and/or misappropriation of patient property.
Staff Development
- Attends and participates in scheduled in-service training, educational classes and meetings to maintain current certification as applicable and as managed by regulatory agencies and company policies.
- Attends and participates in in-service training as mandated by regulatory agencies and company policy.
- Participates in QAA process as needed.
Sales Responsibilities
- Regularly spends time as needed in sales.
- Maintains a thorough knowledge of the center’s products and services, acuity capabilities, and physician relations.
- Takes an active role in the morning Kick-off meeting.
- Meets regularly with nursing to discuss clinical service levels.
- Evaluates the center's physical environment through weekly rounds and discusses with the Administrator.
- Maintains an educated understanding of all payer sources and their impact on revenue.
- Responsible for developing relationships with a growing base of referral sources, leading to a consistent flow of quality referrals to the center. Majority of time is allocated to the internal Admissions process, with some time spent out in the community.
- Actively seeks out and identifies new referral sources and maintains a current target list.
- Effectively networks with current and past customers to solicit referrals
- Provide clients (prospective residents, their families, and referral sources) with facility and program specific information via community outreach and networking, facility tours, personal visits, and presentations
Revenue
- Total Revenue is at/above budget
- Quality Mix (Private, Medicare, Insurance) at/above budget
- Total occupancy at/above budget
- Medicare-Private conversion met the objective.
Marketing Responsibilities Process
- Effectively uses data systems to manage referral source sales.
- Maintains up-to-date customer profiles on existing referral sources.
- Actively manages long and short-term inquiries to establish relationships resulting in quality admissions.
- Reviews discharges for possible re-admission and actively manages high-potential prospects.
- Completes admissions contract with new patient on the day of admission
- Ensures admissions are qualified clinically and financially
- Effectively uses resources to build relationships, resulting in gaining prospective customers and gaining commitment to admission.
- Assist in the development of an annual marketing plan and budget and manage available resources to meet center objectives.
Customer Satisfaction Responsibilities
- Models customer service principles throughout the center and promotes appreciation of our customers’ needs with every employee
- Knows, understands, and models Edenbrook's mission and service principles.
- Communicates customer objectives and expectations of center department heads and team.
Safety and Sanitation
- Manages the creation of admission packets and collateral.
- Contributes articles to the center newsletter and ensures that newsletter and trade journal articles are sent to referral sources by forwarding names of referral sources to the newsletter editor.
- Works with the Corporate Marketing Manager and the Center Administrator in developing center brochures.
- Plans, coordinates, and reviews special center events such as VIP open houses, where the community is invited to attend.
- Attends and participates in staff meetings, departmental head meetings, and other center meetings and serves on required committees.
- Follows Edenbrook’ s Policies and Procedures manual.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree preferred. Considerable experience in a comparable position will be considered in lieu of degree.
Experience
- Two years’ sales experience, preferred in health care services, products, or pharmaceuticals.
Physical Demands
- Work is primarily light in nature, with exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to life, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects to prepare for room readiness. Involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for periods of time to give center tours.
Travel
- Local travel engaging in outside sales calls as needed or directed by the Administrator/Executive Director.
Working Conditions
- The job operates in a health care setting. This role may also come into contact with residents who may have contagious illnesses.
